Left Bank Book Panels, Page THREE

7. Untitled. by Shelly Goebl-Parker
"An assortment of images: my son who was born here; our neighbor who moved away; a fire:
two many things have burned in the City."

8. "City Fences" by Carol Lark
"I am fascinated by what blows up against the bottoms of fences. I think you can get a feel
for what lives nearby by looking at what is discrded, dropped or lost. In this panel, human,
bird, tree, and ground have blown up against the fences."

9. "HOME!!!" by Savneet Talwar
This piuecerefers to the neurological reprogramming that has occurred as I have tried
to identify "HOME!!!" through the long ordeal of changing my immigrant status from
"alien parolled" to "alien resident". There is a longing for the home and country that
I have lost and yet a lot gained in the loss. The process is akin to nature's cycles of
birth, death and rebirth, having changed me at the very cellular level of my existence."
