Thank you, Wild Oats Market in St. Louis
for hosting a community exhibit of TREC workshop art
February 25 - March 20, 2001

Installation at Wild Oats Market, 2/25-3/30, 2001

Wild Oats Market sponsored an installation that let the community "sample" the artwork being made by TREC public workshop participants. A brief statement be each artist was posted by the panels, making the content more explicit. The public responded by writing in a guest book at the exhibit. Some of the commentary can be found below:

From the journal:

They speak volumes. They fill me with gratitude from a family who raised me
not to have any prejudices.  What a blessing to have been in my life.  I in
turn hope that I have deeply ingrained the same justice in my children.  We
are all so special in God's eyes, one and all.

They express the artists' individuality well.  Some conscious thinking here.
Good designs, positive vibes.

I really like them. Although the artists are unknown, you are able to
distinguish the diversity in each one.  They all express individual meaning
and are vibrant with color.

Wonderful display!  Says alot!  We need more of this type of sharing.  Thank
you - all of you!

This is so cool!  Good for you guys!  Keep up the good work.  Call Phoenix
2000-they offer a course on "race relations" and your organization and
theirs might want to interface with each other.

Exactly!

Celebrate diversity-We are all one!

Worthy endeavor!  Great art!

I was fired 1/9 from a job, being told "I don't fit in". Isnt; funny that we
think it's okay to hurt each other in order to create harmony? If diversity
isn't practiced in the name of "fitting in", we all loose.  Expand the
definition of diversity.  In the big picture, we all fit and we areall one!
It isn't about race, sex, disability.  It affects us all.  Like the saying
goes, "If you want peace, work for justice.  Injustice is practiced all
around us.  Thanks for letting me share!

Cool art!  Keep up displaying creative stuff like this.  I especially like
the "All One" engravings. Look how detailed it is.  The diversity "embrace
it all" one is so colorful and symmetrical.  It could easily be a logo on a
shirt or sticker.  very presentable.  (A circular logo perhaps.)
